Volunteer opportunities
Wind Support NYC is calling for volunteers for an exciting lineup of events happening from May 8th to May 29th! Join us as we support professional skippers during their stay in New York City, following their completion of the single-handed Transat CIC and leading up to the prestigious New York Vendée on May 29th, the final qualifying race before the Vendée Globe, the pinnacle of oceanic racing.
The organization of these races and the inauguration of the Skipper Lounge at the Seaport on March 27 mark the start of a series of attractive events:
🗓️ May 6th to May 15th: Arrival of Transat CIC in the presence of Lorient Agglomération elected representatives
🗓️ May 12th: Price ceremony of the Transat CIC
🗓️ May 13th and 14th: Wind Support Summit
🗓️May 23rd to May 26th: Elected officials from department of Vendee in New York
🗓️ May 24th: Vendée Liberty on Governor Island, the celebration of sailing culture and innovation. Volunteers will be needed to help with preparations and ensure the smooth running of the event while enjoying the show.
🗓️ May 29th: New York Vendee departure.
We are seeking volunteers to join our team in various roles including:
- On Water Operation: Support on-water operations.
- On Shore – Logistics: Assist with event setup, transportation, and coordination.
- On Shore – Hospitality: Welcome guests, provide assistance, and ensure a memorable experience for all attendees.
We will also need volunteers in Newport, for on shore logistics and hospitality.
